Cheri Jensen is a longtime staff member of OneNet and the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education. Higher education has played a huge role in Cheri’s work history, but she has found her work home at OneNet.
She started her career in higher education working in the financial aid office at Oklahoma City Community College, while she was studying for her paramedic license.
After receiving her license, Cheri took a break from higher education and pursued her career as a paramedic. After the Murrah Building bombing in April 1995, Cheri left her job as a paramedic and found herself back in higher education.
Shortly after the bombing, Cheri began working for the Oklahoma Student Loan Authority as a customer service agent. In August 1998, she made the move to the Oklahoma College Assistance Program, a division of OSRHE.
In October 1999, a customer service representative position opened within OneNet. Cheri made the transition to OneNet to be the cheery person who answered the phones. Cheri started at OneNet as a message-taker and is now our customer service coordinator.
Cheri has learned to provide support in most OneNet service areas and has gained trouble-shooting skills to assist customers who have issues. Cheri tries to do as much as she can before passing the issue on to another team member, in order to keep the technicians and engineers’ workloads manageable.
OneNet has grown dramatically since Cheri started, and she is proud to be a part of a flourishing agency. She loves being on the front line for customer issues and is glad to be able to assist customers with their network-related issues.
Cheri loves learning how to use the latest and greatest technology. She has a passion for her job and OneNet, and she is excited to see the organization continue to grow.
