Murray State College (MSC) plays an important role in the rural community of Tishomingo and throughout its 10-county service area in southern Oklahoma. In addition to serving on-campus students, the college provides technological upgrades to local high schools and supports a growing distance learning program to benefit nontraditional students throughout southern Oklahoma.
In 2017, Seminole State College (SSC) began searching for a videoconferencing solution that would improve their distance learning programs and increase their outreach to area high schools. SSC partnered with OneNet to deploy a cloud-based videoconferencing solution to better connect students and teachers.
Technology is an integral component of education in today’s digital world, but maintaining modern technology systems can be expensive and require significant expertise. For Oklahoma’s higher education institutions, a new vendor contract is addressing this challenge, and the cost savings and efficiencies are having rippling effects for students of all ages.
Since the college’s beginning in 1901 with only 217 students, Northern Oklahoma College has been on the forefront of advancement. More than 100 years later, OneNet helps to provide the most up-to-date digital connection possible for the over 4,600 students who attend Northern Oklahoma College each year.
