Dove Schools is building a thriving future-ready campus to serve students and staff in north Oklahoma City. The school recently purchased the Hertz building on Northwest Expressway to meet the growing demand for their programs. With 21. 5 acres and over 200,000 square feet, the new location positions them to serve more students as their schools grow.
The new campus will house Dove North High School (grades 8-12), Dove North Middle School (grades 5-7), Dove Virtual Academy administrative offices, and the Dove District offices.
“Not only will each have their own dedicated spaces, we are also building a full-sized gymnasium to support athletics and events,” said Abidin Erez, superintendent for Dove Schools. “It will serve as the heartbeat of our northern Oklahoma City operations.”
Investing in Students’ Futures
Dove Schools is focused on creating an environment in the new site that fosters both education and growth.
“This site allows us to bring more students into the Dove program with expanded academic offerings, enhanced extracurricular programs, and upgraded technology,” Erez said. “It’s a major investment in our students’ futures — providing space to learn, collaborate, and grow in a modern, connected environment. And with our North Elementary (grades PreK-4) right next door, parents will have the convenience of having all students in grades PreK-12 in the same place.”
Currently, Dove serves approximately 3,700 students across their Oklahoma City, Tulsa, and Virtual Academy campuses.
“With the opening of our new site, we aim to grow enrollment and welcome even more students into our community of high achievement and opportunity,” Erez said.
New Educational Technology
Along with opening the new site, Dove Schools plans to invest in new educational technologies. The school is partnering with Verizon to roll out an enhanced one-to-one device program beginning in 2025.
“We are upgrading all STEM labs and investing in all new curriculum, technology and classroom furniture,” Erez said. “Our goal is to ensure every student has seamless access to digital tools and learning spaces that foster innovation and collaboration.”
High-Speed Connectivity
OneNet has served Dove Schools since 2020 at both their Oklahoma City and Tulsa campuses. The schools have up to 2G connectivity at each campus to support their learning initiatives.
“Modern education demands high bandwidth for real-time learning, video conferencing, digital curriculum, and operational security,” Erez said. “Gig-level speeds ensure our students and teachers experience no barriers to accessing the tools they need to succeed.”
Dove Schools chose OneNet not only for the high-speed connectivity but also for OneNet’s mission to advance education in Oklahoma schools.
“We need connectivity partners who understand education—not just in technology, but in mission,” Erez said. “OneNet offers both the technical excellence and the heart for public service that aligns with our goals. Their reputation and our experience with them made it an easy decision.”
Connecting Multiple Campuses
Dove Schools utilizes a OneNet virtual firewall and leverages MPLS network virtualization to move traffic from their campuses to OneNet’s data center. This service also facilitates communication across their campuses.
“OneNet has provided consistent, high-speed service across multiple campuses, which has been critical for daily instruction, virtual learning, and administrative operations,” Erez said. “Their team has been proactive and responsive, keeping us connected even as we expanded.”
Partnership with OneNet
School leadership also values OneNet as a partner that provides exceptional service and support.
“OneNet’s team has been knowledgeable, professional, and incredibly responsive,” Erez said. “Whether it’s planning new installations or troubleshooting a rare issue, they treat our needs with urgency and care. It truly feels like a partnership.”
“OneNet is Oklahoma’s partner in education,” said John Hennessey, vice chancellor for Information Technology and OneNet. “We are excited to see Dove Schools grow and expand into their new campus, and our leadership team is committed to delivering the reliable, high-speed connectivity their students and staff require to succeed.”
A Bold Step Forward
With their new location, Dove Schools is ready for the future, with a focus on providing Oklahoma students with impactful educational opportunities.
“We’re excited for what’s ahead,” Erez said. “This new campus represents a bold step forward for Dove Schools, and OneNet is helping us make that vision a reality. Together, we’re creating a stronger, smarter future for Oklahoma’s students.”
