From network design to virtualization to fiber optics, OneNet offers a variety of opportunities to start your career in technology. Our technical team includes the following positions:

Network Engineer

OneNet’s network engineers and network support engineers design and analyze OneNet’s network infrastructure. They ensure everything performs to standard and provides support for 1,300+ subscriber circuits. To be a successful network engineer, you need to have knowledge in planning, designing and installing a variety of network equipment.

Systems Engineer

OneNet’s systems engineers manage our above-the-net services. They deploy and support data center services, such as colocation and virtual infrastructure, as well as hosted services like email and websites. A bachelor’s degree and experience in UNIX/Linux network environments will help you succeed as a systems engineer at OneNet.

Cybersecurity Engineer

This position protects and prevents threats to OneNet’s network. Cybersecurity engineers track industry reports on cyber activity and implement strategies to keep OneNet and its subscribers’ data safe. A bachelor’s degree and experience in information security is needed to stay ahead of industry standards.

Optical Specialist

The optical specialist manages OneNet’s statewide, optical fiber network. They design, install and troubleshoot optically delivered circuits that provide connectivity for OneNet and its subscribers. An associates degree and technical background in telecommunications will help you flourish in this field.

Network Technician

OneNet’s network technician provides hands-on support for OneNet’s network across the state. They install and maintain OneNet’s equipment, such as routers, optical networks, tower lighting systems, DC power plants and digital wireless systems. Training and knowledge of installation and repair of network systems is recommended for this position.

OneNet serves as Oklahoma’s research and education network.
