#OneNetChampions: Katelyn Weese
Sallisaw Public Schools
8th Grade Mathematics Instructor
How long have you worked for your organization?
This is my 4th year at Sallisaw Middle School!
Describe what you do on an everyday basis.
Every day, I come to school ready to inspire and guide the next generation of leaders and innovators. I teach PreAlgebra, Algebra 1 and a leadership course. Through these classes, I work to provide my students with opportunities and experiences that enhance their personal understanding of the ever-changing world around them.
How long has your organization been a OneNet customer?
My school has been with OneNet for about five years!
How does high-speed internet help your organization serve your community?
Having access to high-speed internet has become increasingly important in the post-pandemic world as it allows our students the opportunity to learn in an environment that is safe for them or meets their individual needs. If a student is ill, they are still able to work from home and stay caught up.
Why are you a OneNet champion?
I am a OneNet champion, because I strive to take advantage of every learning experience and opportunity OneNet has provided me with, so that I can provide my students with the most up-to-date technology and information. I serve as a liaison between OneNet’s services and my students.
What would you tell others about OneNet?
OneNet provides more than just high-speed internet services. OneNet advocates for their communities, supports local teachers and connects Oklahomans with the rest of the world.
