When we kicked off 2020, we had no idea what the year would bring. The COVID pandemic changed our lives in so many ways. Our new focus became wearing masks, social distancing and washing hands.
The pandemic also changed the way we work, learn and access services like healthcare. Remote work led to setting up home workspaces. The pandemic transformed learning. Teachers have learned to teach online, and parents have become integral in teaching at home. Telehealth has expanded as many health services also transitioned to virtual visits.
OneNet has leveraged relationships for our customers, other agencies and telecommunications providers to address the new challenges. We increased bandwidth for many customers, so they can better serve their communities. We quickly licensed thousands of Zoom accounts. Along with our telecommunications partners, we promoted affordable internet options for students and their families. We also worked with the State Department of Education to distribute hotspot devices to thousands of students.
We don’t know what 2021 will bring, but we will continue to seek partnerships that create solutions. As the world changes, we will adjust our technology delivery to meet the challenges the new year brings. We appreciate each of you and the trust you give our team.
