OneNet Cloud Services Offer Options for a Variety of IT Needs
OneNet cloud computing services can be utilized to meet a variety of information technology needs. OneNet provides infrastructure as a service (IaaS), platform as a service (PaaS) and software as a service (SaaS) through a mix of technologies and is guided by the needs and requests of the user base. A robust virtual computing, storage and network environment allows for a wide mix of virtual systems to be provisioned and resilient paths to geographically diverse data centers provide extremely high service availability.
From an IaaS standpoint, OneNet can provision nearly any operating system capable of operating on 32 or 64 bit x86 architectures, along with a number of storage choices with various performance and data retention policies. OneNet currently provides IaaS to facilitate Desire2Learn’s and Blackboard’s SaaS offerings, as well as Oklahoma City Public Schools Imagine Learning system. OneNet also provides IaaS support for Microsoft Exchange for Langston University, and we provide dedicated virtual machines for services such as web hosting and Moodle for many of our customers.
OneNet has a long history of providing PaaS in the form of a robust web services offering. The web service has grown in capabilities in recent years with the introduction of cPanel management and Installatron installation services. Our users have leveraged the system to deploy countless custom applications, as well as traditional deployments of applications such as Moodle, WordPress, Drupal and other popular open source systems.
OneNet’s oldest SaaS, provided for over 15 years, is email. With over 150,000 accounts from over 320 organizations it remains a very popular service. We also now provide email archiving and retention.
